Make the most of your summer with Sonoma State University's Summer Session! Whether you're looking to get ahead, catch up, or explore new subjects, SSU offers a variety of summer courses designed to fit your academic goals and schedule.

With online and on-campus options, you can continue your education while balancing work, internships, or travel. Choose from multiple sessions:

  • 12-Week Session: May 27 – August 15

  • 4-Week Session 1: May 27 – June 20

  • 4-Week Session 2: June 23 – July 18

  • 4-Week Session 3: July 21 – August 15

Pink Martini featuring China Forbes

Featuring a dozen musicians, with songs in 25 languages, Pink Martini performs its multilingual repertoire on concert stages on six continents. After making it’s European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 and its orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 1998, the band has gone on to play with more than 50 orchestras around the world, including multiple engagements with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, the Boston Pops, the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center, the San Francisco Symphony, and the BBC Concert Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in London. Pink Martini has released 11 studio albums on its own independent label Heinz Records (named after Lauderdale’s dog), selling over 3 million albums worldwide.

AANHPI Graduation is an annual celebration to commemorate the graduation success and achievements of Asian American identified graduating students along with honoring staff, and faculty that have contributed work, community, and service to the Asian/American Desi American Pacific Islander* and Middle Eastern communities at SSU.

*This is an acknowledgment that the AANHPI name is very limited to the breadth of the unique and vast ethnicity and cultures of the Asian countries and Diaspora, which includes but not limited to: Pacific Islander, South Asian, Southeast Asian, Desi, Desi American, Southwest Asian, Asian, Asian American, Multiracial, Multi-ethnic, Multinational, Transnational Adoptees, and more.

The Path of the Vanguard features an exciting evening of music from Sonoma State University’s SSU Latin Band, directed by Kendrick Freeman, and the SSU Jazz Orchestra, led by Doug Leibinger. The performance explores influential works from jazz greats like Bob Mintzer, Keith Jarrett, and Louis Jordan, while also celebrating student creativity through original arrangements by Estella Zea and Devin Swift.

Residents are expected to move out 24 hours after their last final. Students who have a final on Friday are required to move out Saturday no later than 11:00 a.m.

Express Check Out Process

  1. Remove personal belongings and complete the cleaning checklist

  2. Complete the Express Check Out form, available through the Housing Portal. The date on the form must match the date of departure.
