Valentine's Day (On A Budget!)

Valentine’s Day is a magical day, full of love and good vibes. But let’s be real… we’re college students! We may not have all the resources or time in the world, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate. Here’s how to celebrate Valentine’s Day (on a budget) to ensure you have a day full of love!

GAME NIGHT

Put down the electronics and whip out the board games! Board games are always SO much fun to play with family and friends, and there are so many different board games to try! Whether you’re in the mood for Monopoly, Cards Against Humanity, or more, playing a Board Game cards against humanity with someone can serve as a great bonding moment!

ROAD TRIP

Okay, hear me out… get in some comfy clothes, bring your favorite playlist, and just DRIVE! No matter if you have a destination or not, going on a mini road trip can be so much fun and there are so many road trip games you can play together. Enjoy each others’ company and go on a road trip!

GO ON A HIKE

There’s truly nothing like being one with nature… now, you can be TWO with nature! Put on your sneakers and explore the wilderness on your hike. Disconnecting from technology for a bit and being present with one another can be so rewarding, and on a hike, you’ll get your bodies and minds moving!

COOKING OR BAKING

Pull out your Pinterest and search for new recipes together. Then, grab your ingredients and start cooking! Making a home-cooked meal together and become professional chefs for a night. When you sit down to eat, light a candle and enjoy the ambience. You don’t need to attend an expensive restaurant to still enjoy good food with a cozy environment.

PAINTING NIGHT

Once you have your canvases and painting supplies, you can paint whatever your heart tells you too! You could even make up a fun challenge and paint self portraits. Even if your portraits turn out wacky and disproportionate, the memories you’ll make from this experience are PRICELESS!

You can participate in these experiences with your family, friends, or significant partner, because no matter what, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating the love that surrounds you. And don’t forget… we love you, Seawolves! Have a happy Valentine’s Day, friends!!! :)
